Minimum Qualifications:

Oregon Teaching License with appropriate endorsement or the ability to obtain.  Experience in an educational setting preferred.

Position Status:

This is a full-time 1.0 FTE, licensed position with a contract for the 2019-20 school year.  Length of contract and salary as per the VEA contract. 

Job Responsibilities/Qualifications:          

• Develop an instructional program of study that meets all students’ needs.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Demonstrate positive, effective communication skills with students, staff, and parents.
• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, based on the Common Core State Standards.
• Establish clear objectives for all instruction and learning targets for all lessons, units, and projects.
• Possess knowledge of band/choir education methods, techniques, and tools.
• Enthusiam for school improvement and change.
• Coaching / Student Advisory experience preferred. 
• Teach elective courses as needed.
• Instill appreciation for classical and modern music. 
• AVID Program experience preferred.
