Minimum Qualifications:
Oregon Teaching License with appropriate endorsements.
Position Status:
This is a full-time 1.0 FTE, licensed position with a contract for the 2024-2025 School Year.
2024-25 Contracted Highlights Include:
- COLA of 5% / District Paid 6% PERS PickUp
- 186 Day Calendar / 6 Paid Holidays
- 3 Personal Days Annually (paid out at end of year if not used) / 12 Days Sick Leave Annually
- $1,525.00 monthly District insurance contribution for medical / dental / vision premiums
- $345.00 monthly Health Savings Account District contribution with enrollment in qualified high deductible medical plan
- Annual tuition reimbursement for amount equal to 3 credits at the Portland State University rate
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop an instructional program of study that meets all students’ needs.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Demonstrate positive, effective communication skills with students, staff, and parents.
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, based on the Common Core State Standards
- Establish clear objectives for all instruction, communicating them to students and parents.
- Implement engaging, student centered instructional activities.
- Enthusiasm for school improvement and change.
- May have an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues to tie classroom learning to hands-on activities at our school wetlands site and native plant nursery and greenhouse.
- Coaching / Student Advisory / AVID experience desired.
- Ability to teach electives
